Prakash Raj and Nivin Pauly is teaming up in an upcoming Tamil movie ‘Santa Maria’. It is the Tamil remake of Kannada movie ‘Ulidavarnu Kandante’, directed by Gautham Ramachandran.
Prakash Raj, who is concentrating more on direction was impressed with the dialogues and agreed to do that project. The movie will be directing by Gautham Ramachandran who had worked with director Mysskin.
The shooting of the film is in progress. Prakash Raj will be playing the role of a pastor and the foster father of Nivin Pauly.
The relation between them is the main theme of the movie. Sraddha Srinath will play the female lead in this film. Cinematographer-actor Nataraj (Natty) and Lakshmipriya Chandramouli are also playing in significant roles. Editing will be done by Atul. Ajneesh who was the music director in the kannada original will continue his work in Tamil version too.
