Nayanthara, who is currently busy with her acting commitments in both Tamil and Telugu film industries, will don the producer's hat for the first time with an upcoming project, which will feature her in the role of a collector. "It's an out-and-out woman-centric project. Nayanthara was so excited when she heard the script that she decided to produce it under her own banner. She plays a district collector in the film, which will go on the floors in a couple of months," a source told IANS.
The film will be directed by Jagan, a former assistant of AR Murugadoss. It is said that the Maya actress will be portraying a very powerful role. Other details regarding the project, including the cast and crew are yet to be divulged. One of the most sought after actresses in South, Nayanthara might be eyeing greater things in the field of cinema, now that she is about to venture into production. As far as her upcoming films are concerned, the Thani Oruvan star is awaiting the releases of Simbu's Idhu Namma Aalu and Jiiva-starrer Thirunaal.
