Malayalam film maker Sasi shankar passed away on wednseday morning. He was found unconscious at around 9:30 a.m. at his residence in kolenchery and was rushed to Kolenchery Medical Mission Hospital but could not be saved. Sasi Shankar directed nine movies during his film-making carrier and won National Film Award for Best Film on Other Social Issues for “Narayam” in 1993 which had Urvashi and Murali in the lead roles. He made his first commercial attempt in 1995, with the Jagathy Sreekumar starrer Punnaram. He directed several hit films like Manthramothiram, Guru Sishyan, Mr. Butler and Sarkar Dada. Sarkar Dada was his last Malayalam movie released in 2005. His last directorial venture was 2014 released Tamil movie Pagadai Pagadai.
