Movies which are releasing this Friday are Midhun Manuel Thomas ‘Ann Maria Kalippilanu’, Mohanlal’s ‘Vismayam’, Tovino Thomas ‘Guppy’. ‘Ann Maria Kalippilanu is the second directorial venture Midhun Manuel Thomas as his first movie was ‘Aadu Oru Bheekara Jeeviyanu’. The film stars Sunny Wayne, Sara Arjun, Aju Varghese in lead roles. Sara Arjun, who mesmerised the audiences with Vikram-starrer Tamil film Daivathirumakal is debuting in Malayalam with the title role in this movie. The movie tells the story of a little girl named ‘Ann Maria’ and a local goon. Youth Icon Dulquer Salman makes a cameo appearance in this movie. Ann Maria Kalippilanu is produced by Alice George under the banner of Goodwill Entertainment.
Mohanlal’s Vismayam directed by Chandra Sekhar Yeleti is a multi-lingual movie (“Manamantha in Telugu, “Namadhu” in Tamil) which is also releasing the same day. The movie is a family drama which tells the story of four people. Gautami is sharing the screen space with Mohanlal in this movie. The film also features Viswanth Duddumpudi and Raina Rao in other lead roles. Mohanlal and Gautami reunites in this movie after the 1997 Tamil Maniratnam movie ‘Iruvar’. Rahul Shrivatsav is the cinematographer of the movie and editing has been done by G. V. Chandra Sekhar.
Tovino Thomas – Chetan Jayal‘s ‘Guppy’, which is earlier decided to release on July 29th will also hit this Friday. The movie is directed by Johnpaul George and produced by Mukesh R Mehta. The trailer of the movie has been received grab attention of viewers. Tovino will play the role of Thejas, an engineer who comes to town to supervise the construction of a bridge. Thejas bonds with a 14-year-old Guppy who makes a living by rearing and selling aquarium fish. Cinematography is done by Gireesh Gangadharan. Screenplay handled by Johnpaul George. Music is scored by Vishnu Vijay.
