Happy Wedding directed by debutant Omar Lulu with Siju Wilson, Justin John and Sharafudheen in lead roles is continuing its journey with great responses from audience. They were previously seen together in Premam. The no-brainer comedy is still running to packed houses across the state a month after its release and that’s without a star actor to push up the stakes at the box office. Theatres here are mighty reluctant to take all small films that don’t have a star cast, perhaps fearing bad collections. It was only after word spread about Happy Wedding [mostly through word of mouth publicity and social media] that the number of theatres rose to 135. Initially it was released only in 33 theatres. Happy wedding was released on May 20 along with aadupuliyattom and kammattipadam and now the movie is crossing 70 days of run. A big salute to director omar and his crew who made such a great film with handful of newcomers. Now it becomes a block buster after exhibiting more than 11000+ shows. "Happy Wedding" narrates the life of a group of engineering students. The friendship between Hari (Siju), Robin (Sharafudheen) and Tyson (Justin) as well as the love story of Hari and Shahina (Anu Sithara) are the main theme of the film. Soubin Shahir, Sivaji Guruvayoor, Saiju Kurup and Thesni Khan are also playing other important roles.
