Mohanlal and Anoop Menon is all set to rejoin again for an upcoming movie after ‘Kanal’. The movie would be directed by Jibu Jacob. The movie, based on V J James' short story ‘Pranayopanishad’.
Initially, the role was offered to Biju Menon and he was really happy to do this. Unfortunately Biju Menon was really busy with his current shooting schedules which made the entry of Anoop Menon in to this project.
This would be a simple movie and might be a strong comeback of Mohanlal as a common man. We all are loving to see such characters from him. In this movie, he would be seen in the role of a Panchayath Secretary named Ullahanan and Meena plays his wife. The film has penned by P Sindhuraj, is the production venture of Sophia Paul under the banner of Weekend Blockbusters.
Mohanlal and Anoop shared screen space earlier, in films like Pranayam, Grandmaster, Rock N Roll etc. The actor tells us, "I also play a government official who is a close friend and confidante to Lalettan's character. Certain actions from my part alter his status quo in the film. It's a beautiful family movie and I feel after a long time, Lalettan will be back in a matured comedy."
As per reports, Anoop Menon would be seen in the role of a friend to the character played by Mohanlal in the film. Srinda will play Anoop's wife in the movie.
The film would have Aima Sebastian, Sanoop, Aju Varghese, Nedumudi Venu, Kalabhavan Shajon, Suraj Venjarumoodu and Sudheer Karamana in vital roles.
