The first trailer for Sonakshi Sinha's latest film Akira has been unveiled, and it looks action-packed. The launch happened among media personnel and students at the Lala Lajpat Rai College in Mumbai.
The trailer tells the story of a girl, newly moved from Jodhpur to Mumbai, as she gets involved with a suicide and a few corrupt officials. It tells the story of how the girl fights back against the system, which has let her down.
Sonakshi Sinha looks convincing as an action-star as she spares no one from college bullies to policemen, whoever has wronged her. One of the surprise elements of the trailer is Anurag Kashyap, playing a corrupt cop of the Mumbai police. Kashyap looks the part, and delivers his lines with an evil smirk.
The film is a remake of Tamil film Mouna Guru, and is expected to be high-octane thriller with powerful action sequences. Akira also stars Konkona Sen Sharma, Mithun Chakroborty, Anurag Kashyap, Atul Kulkarni and Amit Sadh in significant roles.
