Reports from Kollywood say that Manjima Mohan would be pairing up opposite Vishal in his upcoming sequel to Sandakozhi to be directed by Lingusamy.
Manjima Mohan, who has played a child artiste in many Malayalam films before debuting as heroine in last year’s Oru Vadakkan Selfie, is all set to make her debut as heroine opposite Simbu in Gautham Vadudev Menon’s upcoming film Achcham Enbadhu Madamaiyada. Even before the film has released in theatres, Manjima has already bagged her second Tamil film.
Sandakozhi (2005) was only the second film of Vishal but it catapulted him to an ‘action-hero’ status. Lingusamy, who directed the film, was to launch the sequel to Sandakozhi last year but but to some misunderstanding he developed with Vishal, he shelved the project. Now that Vishal and Lingusamy have patched up among themselves, the sequel is on.
Yuvan Shankar Raja would be scoring the music of Sandakozhi 2 which would be cinematographed by Mathi. It is reported that Vishal, who is presently starring in Suraj’s Kathi Sandai, would commit himself to starring in the Sandakozhi sequel from end-August onwards.
