Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone was in Spain few days ago to attend an award ceremony. So in a recent media interaction, she opened up saying that she will begin shooting for her next film in September.
According to media reports, Deepika has let out the secret about her upcoming movie that will begin shooting in September. However, she did not expose much about the film. Sources from the industry say that, filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali is soon to begin his next project 'Padmavati' that features Ranveer Singh and Vicky Kaushal in the lead. Prakash Kapadia who scripted epic movie 'Bajirao Mastani' has also been roped in to write 'Padmavati'. The film is based on tyrant emperor Alauddin Khilji, who was obsessed for Padmavati-the queen of Mewar.
'Bajirao Mastani' actor Ranveer Singh is soon to wrap up Aditya Chopra's ‘Befikre’ in July and then will join Deepika to shoot for 'Padmavati' in September. This film will mark Deepika, Ranveer and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s third project together.
‘Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela’ directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali was an adaptation of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. The movie which premiered on the scheduled date, opened to critical acclaim and strong box-office collections worldwide.
‘Bajirao Mastani’ was an Indian epic historical romance film. The film stars Ranveer Singh as Bajirao and Deepika Padukone as Mastani, with Priyanka Chopra playing Bajirao's first wife Kashibai. The film received fourteen nominations at the 61st Filmfare Awards, and won nine awards including Best Film, Best Director for Bhansali, Best Actor for Singh, and Best Supporting Actress for Chopra.
