Director Aashiq Abu is one of the most acclaimed directors in the Malayalam film industry. The directors always try new themes and genres in his movies. The director’s last movie ‘Virus’ was based on the true events of the Nipah virus outbreak in Kerala. The movie was both popular and critically acclaimed. Now, a new movie by the director has started rolling.
Director Aashiq Abu's next movie is titled ‘Pennum Cherukkanum’. The movie is expected to be an anthology and is written by Unni R. The movie went on floors recently on Thodupuzha. The reports suggest that filmmakers Rajeev Ravi, Venu and Jay K are joining hands for this anthology film. The cinematography is handled by Shyju Khalid and the project is bankrolled by PK Prime Production. No much detail regarding the star cast has been disclosed as of now. Some reports suggest that Actress Samyuktha Menon is part of the project. Still waiting for the confirmation.
Interestingly, earlier Aashiq Abu and a group of directors had teamed up for '5 Sundarikal' an anthology movie. Anyway, we can expect more details regarding the movie soon. Stay tuned.
