Telugu movie 'Jersey’ starring Nani and Shraddha Srinath turned out to be a blockbuster at the box-office. The movie directed by Gowtham Tinnanuri is gearing up for a Tamil remake. We have few updates regarding the ‘Jersey’ Tamil remake.
Actor Vishnu Vishal will be playing the lead role in the Tamil version. Actress Amala Paul is considered for the female lead in the movie. The duo had previously worked in the blockbuster movie ‘Ratchasan’ which got released last year. Interestingly, the Tamil remake rights of the movie have been acquired by Rana Dagguabati. It is well known that Vishnu Vishal was a professional cricketer in his younger days. The actor had played a cricketer’s role in the hit film ‘Jeeva’. The movie is expected to be directed ‘Monster’ and ‘Oru Naal Koothu’ fame Nelson Venkatesan.
‘Jersey’ which got released this year explores the life of a passionate cricketer, who makes his comeback to cricket at his middle age. Hindi version of the movie is also in the pipeline and Actor Shahid Kapoor is considered for the lead role. More details regarding the project are expected to be announced soon.
