Tabu to be honored for her contribution to Indian cinema

Bollywood actress Tabu has been chosen to glory, this time she will be awarded for her contribution to Indian cinema. The actress will be honored at the 17th edition of Indian film festival at Los Angeles, where a special screening of her latest movie ‘Andhadun’ will be held at the Regal LA, in the 4-day event starting from April 11 to April 14. Tabu has performed outstandingly well in ‘Andhadun’ that was released in October 2018 alongside Ayushman Khurana and had won several accolades last year. The deciding committee of the function said that they could not think of any other actress other than Tabu who is currently eligible for a tribute, as she has always hash-tagged her roles with the essence of Women empowerment and woman-centric stories. Christina Marouda, the Executive Director of IFFLA conferred to the decision and further to it she added that while the discussion of having her on board was always on the cards and that they felt this is the right time. She also added that Tabu embodies that IFFLA relates with which includes being fearless, versatile, etc. IFFLA is celebrating the work of women in the industry and is deciding to recognize more women in the field.
