After a brilliant performance in Peranbu, Mammootty's next film Ameer to go on floors in June. He has recently finished shooting for Vysakh's MadhuraRaja. Ameer is scripted by The Great Father and Abrahaminte Santhathikal scribe Haneef Adeni, who had recently helmed Nivin Pauly's Mikhael. Mammootty is playing an underworld don based in Dubai. Meanwhile, after shooting of Ameer, Mammootty will join the set of Maamaankam. Maamaankam is a historical movie based on legendary chaaverukal of Valluvanadu. The story was in the 19th century. The film is narrated to be a war film.
