Rani Mukerji will be returning as a cop in Mardaani 2, the sequel to Mardaani which was released on 2014. Rani Mukerji will be seen as Shivani Shivaji Roy, a dedicated and brave police officer. In a recent interview Actress, Rani Mukerji had stated that Mardaani movie has always been extremely close to her heart and the writer of the film Gopi Puthran has come with an extraordinary script for the sequel. Actress also stated that the villain in the movie will be a cold and merciless character and she is looking forward to see which actor would be enacting the role.
Mardaani, which was released in 2014 was a huge hit at the box office. So the expectation for the sequel is also immensely high among the audience.
