Initially, it was reported that 2.0 would hit the theatres in October 2017, but later it got postponed to January 2018. Recently, Rajinikanth met the media and confirmed that 2.0 will release worldwide on April 14 this year. With April 14 being the Tamil New Year, 2.0 will have maximum screens in Tamil Nadu and across the globe. Rajinikanth Kaala's release will happen after 2.0 hits the theatres. As per reports, Kaala will release towards the end of 2018.
