Take Off, one among the best Malayalam movies of this decade has won awards at IFFI(International Film Festival Of India) 2017, Goa. Mollywood actress Parvathy won the best actress award for the performance in the film. Director Mahesh Narayanan has also won special jury award for Best Director. It is for the first time, an Indian actress is winning the Best Actress title at IFFI. Take Off is based on the lives of Indian nurses who were held hostages by terrorists in Iraq and how an Indian ambassador Manoj, played by Fahadh Faasil rescues them. “I dedicate this award to all nurses of Kerala and stood their ground (in Tikrit) and with hope and conviction and got out of the dilemma they were in,” Paravathy said after receiving her award.
