Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmavati has cleared British Board of Film Classification (BBFC). The movie will hit screens in UK on December 1. The movie stars Deepika Padukone as Rani Padmavati, Ranveer Singh as Sultan Alauddin Khilji and Shahid Kapoor as Maharawal Ratan singh. The movie is about Rani Padmavati, the legendary queen known as much for her beauty who committed sati, to protect her honour from the invading Muslim emperor Khilji who killed her husband, the Rajput king Maharawal Ratan singh in a battle. Padmavati is jointly produced by Viacom 18 Motion Pictures and Bhansali Productions.
