Ilayathalapathy Vijay’s Mersal is still ruling the box office and has now crossed 170 crore mark in just a week. Irrespective of various controversies, the movie is still going strong in Tamil Nadu and other countries. Mersal is the highest grossing Vijay film in the United States and has become the latest film to join $1.5 club in the US. According to reports, Mersal is the fourth movie to cross $1.5 million mark and also the eleventh film to cross $1 million mark. Meanwhile the Telugu version of Mersal continues to face issues with censor as the movie release has been delayed. The censor certificate has not been officially given to the movie yet.
