Director Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s set once again attacked by a group of 10-15 masked attackers at Masali plateau in Panhala taluka, 35 km from Kolhapur on Wednesday. Chetan Devlekar, executive producer of Bhansali Productions Private Limited said, “The shooting of the movie at the plateau had started on March 6 and was to be completed by March 18. After finishing shooting on Tuesday, the team discussed to take the shots next day. The costumes of around 700 people and wooden logs and planks used for the sets reduced to ashes”. In January, some members of Rajput community, Karni Sena assaulted Bhansali for allegedly presenting ‘distorted facts’ in Padmavati. Following the incident, the team cancelled its shooting in Jaipur and release a statement clarifying the misconception about the story.
