Jean Paul Lal’s Honey Bee sequel Honey Bee 2 will have Lena and Sreenivasan playing parents of Asif’s character. Asif Ali, Bhavana, Lal, Baburaj and Balu Varghese will reprise their roles. Lena had earlier essayed Asif’s mom in Asuravithu. She says, “I am glad to be part of the sequel of a movie that broke all clichés of Malayalam cinema. Honey Bee was a youth-oriented movie, and this is more of a family film. I am playing the role as an easy-going mother Ruby.” While Sreenivasan will be playing a character named Thampy Antony.
