Much awaited Mammootty starrer ‘The Great Father’ and Kalidas ‘Poomaram’ have postponed the release dates to March. The great father is directed by debutant Haneef Adeni and produced by Prithviraj Sukumaran, Arya, Santhosh Sivan and Shaji Nadesan under the banner of August Cinema. The movie was originally planned to hit screens on January 27. The movie also marks the comeback of actress Sneha to Molywood after six years. Kalidas starrer ‘Poomaram’ directed by Abrid Shyne has also been postponed to March, 2017. Earlier, it was slated to release on February 4. All Christmas release including Mohanlal’s ‘Munthirivallikal Thalirkumbol’, Prithviraj’s ‘Ezra’, Jayasurya’s ‘Fukri’, Dulquer’s ‘Jomonte Suvishesh has been cancelled due to theater strike. If things fall in place, all the four films will hit screens on last week of January or first week of February. This is the reason the movies have postponed its release.
