Mohanlal and Major Ravi is joining hands once again for a military film based on 1971 war between India and Pakistan. Major Ravi and Mohanlal had earlier worked together in Keerthichakra, Kurukshetra, Kandahar and Karmayodha. Keerthichakra was his debut movie as a director. Keerthichakra and Kurukshetra did well at the box office. Major Mahadevan played by Mohanlal was considered as the best military character. His commitment and great efforts to become a military character won him the honorary Lieutenant Colonel Rank in Territorial Army of India. Major Ravi’s last movie was Picket 43 which had Prithviraj in the lead role. Samuthrakani, Suraj Venjaramood and Kannan Pattambi are playing other important roles. 1971, Beyond Borders will start rolling from November.
