STORY: The story of Anuraga Karikkin Vellam revolves mainly around four characters. Raghu (Biju Menon), is a police officer, who lives with his wife Suma (Asha Sarath) and their two children. Abhilash (Asif Ali), who is the son of Raghu, is an architect and a representative of today's youth. Abhilash falls for a girl named Elizabeth (Rajisha Vijayan). The film takes a close look into the relations of these two couples, and at the same time giving due importance to father-son bond. REVIEW: Biju Menon appears as Raghu, a rough police officer. It is nice to see Biju Menon in such refreshing roles. Asif Ali is definitely improving with each movie and he gave a good performance as Abhilash. Asha Sarath as the mother, was an apt selection. Debutante Rajisha Vijayan who simply excelled in the role of Elizabeth. Rest of the cast comprising of actors like Soubin Shahir, Sreenath Bhasi, Sudheer Karamana, Irshad etc. have done their parts neatly. Screenplay by Naveen Bhaskar carries the movie forward in a good manner. Khalid Rahman has made a good debut as a director and he is in complete control of the movie. He has been able to deliver a quality product, overcoming the limitations of a debut director. The freshness in the presentation has helped the movie a lot. The entertainment quotient remains intact in the film and at the same time, the film never moves away from the realistic factor. There are many such situations in the film which could be easily related by many. Big round of applause for Prashanth Pillai for providing soothing music. BGM of the film gels well with the movie, maintaining that required freshness. Cinematography by Jimshi Khalid has done a good job in capturing some frames that suit the movie particularly well. Editing by Noufal Abdullah is good enough and maintains the right pace.
